Fairly clearly this isn't a clamav bug then. My guess is you had some other package that was causing the problem. If you care to troubleshoot it further, I'd suggest looking in /var/log/dpkg.log and the older dpkg log files (e.g. /var/log/dpkg.log.1) for the first time you tried to install clamtk and see what you installed immediately before.
