There seems to be two separate issues here.
1) Header package installation fails (this bug report). This is due to
broadcom-sta compilation error.
2) Boot crash. This is not a 'real' panic. The kernel complains that it can't
mount the root filesystem, which could indicate a problem with the initrd.
Since this bug report is a duplicate of bug 2117307 I'll mark it as
such. Please open a new bug report for the boot issue, if it persists.
