Hello dAniel hAhler, there is an option to show close-buttons on every tab instead of the website-icons (screenshot). E.g. it works fine for konqueror 3.5.8 . The close button on the right works fine. (If you're browsing and searching with lot of tabs it's very convenient not always go to the right.)
