thanks for filing this bit about the new split and referencing the related
history.
Yes, the original MIR cases are not super outdated and the stack well
maintained ever since.
Hence adding these identical cases for the split does not need a forced
MIR-re-evaluation, and even if it would it would not be blocking.
Promoting these on the same terms and conditions is fine, MIR approved without
deeper re-evaluation.
You can go for the seed changes assuming you want to put it into supported-*
