Public bug reported:
Upgraded 7.10 64bit to 8.04 64bit and it works fine with 2.6.24-2
kernel. Can not boot with 2.6.24-3 or -4 since it can't find hard disk.
Disabled splash and quiet from grub and last message before failure on
boot-up is:
floppy0: no floppy controllers found
Then get message that it can't find hard disk and initramfs error.
Don't know how to capture better error message.
Output for lspci -v below (taken from second install of 32bit 7.10 on
