I have the same problem. Two days ago I installed KDE 4. From this time
I can't run PIM application such as Kontact, but some of them work fine
(konsole, konqueror, etc.).

$ kontact
kontact: error while loading shared libraries: libkdeprint.so.5: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory

I have installed the newest KDE packages from
http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-members-kde4/ubuntu :
Package: kde4base Version: 3.94.0-0ubuntu1
Package: kde4base-data Version: 3.94.0-0ubuntu1
Package: kde4base-dev Version: 3.94.0-0ubuntu1
Package: kde4-core Version: 3.3~gutsy1~ppa1
Package: kdelibs5 Version: 4:4.0.0-0ubuntu2~gutsy1~ppa1

$ ldd /usr/lib/kde4/bin/kontact | grep "not found" | sort | uniq
        libkdeprint.so.5 => not found
        libkpty.so => not found

Maybe I did something wrong?
