Hi Nick 1) Actually, there is no specific step(s). For example, I'd like to download a file in Google Chrome and I click the link and then Google Chrome is freezing. I see this problem every day. And this problem doesn't only happen in Google Chrome. For example, it also happens in applications like Handbrake, and these applications use Nautilus to open the Files application. 2) The behavior I expect is that when I want to select a directory from within any application and open the Files application to save a file, it should open. 3) Only the application I want to open the Nautilus application freezes, and the only way to overcome this problem is to open a terminal window and run the command "nautilus -q". Or log out and restart the computer.
In addition, when this problem occurs, at least two Nautilus windows are open in background. Perhaps (I'm not sure) it occurs while copying / moving big files. Or after transfering files. As I said, I'm not sure. I will pay more attention from now on. And second issue, Steam application are also open in background each time. Perhaps such third-party applications are causing this problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2138242 Title: when open filen in chrome nautilus sometimes crashes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/2138242/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
