Public bug reported:

Using an alternative compositor causes xfwm to spam ~.xsession-errors with:
"g_hash_table_lookup: assertion 'hash_table != NULL' failed"

There is an upstream patch but it may be a while before the next xfce release
and it reaching Ubuntu:
https://gitlab.xfce.org/xfce/xfwm4/-/commit/69a16352c9b0b6591099f63a306238272db58b3a

Version tested: 4.20.0-1 (Ubuntu 25.10)
To reproduce, disable the xfwm compositor and install and start picom.
~.xsession-errors file will start to grow rapidly.

** Affects: xfwm4 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
