@Hans: I had exactly the same problem also with newer driver 590.48.01. My solution was to uninstall everything nvidia related: driver, cuda, fs... Then upgrade to a new kernel (6.14.0-37 -> 6.17.0-14), reboot system with new kernel, update all packages, and at the end reinstall cuda, graphics driver and nvidia-gds which contains nvidia-fs.
