This debdiff looks correct. Cesare, indeed we made pkgstriptranslations so picky because LP does not get along well with empty .po files, and usually they indicate a packaging bug. An FTBFS is very obvious and hard to miss, and avoids accidentally killing all translations in LP with an empty .po file.
