Public bug reported:
Dear Canonical Support Team,
I would like to report a possible issue regarding password changes in
Ubuntu.
After successfully changing my user password (no error message was shown
during the process), I logged out of my session. However, I was then
unable to log in again using the new password. The system did not
display any specific error message — the login simply failed.
The issue occurred after a standard password change, and the process
appeared to complete successfully. This behavior may indicate a problem
with the authentication or login manager.
Please let me know if you need additional system information or logs to
investigate this issue further. I would be happy to provide more
details.
Thank you for your support and for your work on Ubuntu.
Best regards,
