Public bug reported:
Since libexiv2-27 was updated to 0.27.5-3ubuntu1.1, GIMP 2.10.30 crashes with a
segfault whenever I try to open any image. All file plugins are affected
(file-jpeg, file-png, etc.).
strace shows SIGSEGV right after reading the file, during metadata parsing.
Downgrading to 0.27.5-3ubuntu1 fixes it:
sudo apt install libexiv2-27=0.27.5-3ubuntu1
Xubuntu 22.04.5 LTS, GIMP from official repos.
Same pattern as Bug #1941752?
