Public bug reported: ## Steps to reproduce:
Run do-release-upgrade on a machine to upgrade from 22 LTS to 24 LTS. ## Actual result: ``` $ do-release-upgrade Checking for a new Ubuntu release Failed to connect to https://changelogs.ubuntu.com/meta-release-lts. Check your Internet connection or proxy settings There is no development version of an LTS available. To upgrade to the latest non-LTS development release set Prompt=normal in /etc/update-manager/release-upgrades. ``` ## Expected result: The upgrade should work or the message should be clear-cut. It is unclear whether: - the network failure is a real problem - `Prompt=normal` is a safe, recommended option ** Affects: update-manager-core (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2145120 Title: do-release-upgrade 22 LTS to 24 LTS: fails with changelogs.ubuntu.com unreachable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager-core/+bug/2145120/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
