The rational makes sense, especially at the eve of an LTS. It would certainly
have been best to have that in time for beta, so the recommendation now is to
make sure to have some test plan on a daily ISO as soon as the change has
reached the release pocket. We certainly would like to avoid having to respin
on the final week because of that.
Additionally, I suggest reviewing the test cases in
https://github.com/ubuntu/ubuntu-manual-tests to make sure they at least
include some smoke testing of the printing mechanisms.
