Public bug reported:

Laptop: Lenovo ThinkPad E16 Gen 3
CPU: Intel Core Ultra 5 225H (Meteor Lake)
Codec: Conexant SN6140
Subsystem ID: 17aa:5135

OS: Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS
Kernel: 6.17.0-19-generic

Issue:
- Internal speakers: right speaker works, left speaker has no sound
- Headphones: both channels work correctly
- speaker-test outputs both channels, but left speaker produces no sound
- Plugging/unplugging headphones affects speaker behavior

Audio stack:
- Driver: sof-audio-pci-intel-mtl
- Machine driver: skl_hda_dsp_generic
- Topology: sof-hda-generic-2ch.tplg

Observation:
System appears to use generic SOF topology instead of model-specific
configuration.
Likely incorrect speaker routing or amplifier initialization.

This issue matches known SN6140 problems on ThinkPad E16 Gen 3.

     Importance: Undecided
