The changes are not especially concerning, as you say. The package is
seeded in lubuntu and it is a direct dependency of lxqt; I trust you as
a Lubuntu developer to evaluate risk for the flavor. For the rest as far
as I can see it is a leaf package. FFe approved, but please proceed
swiftly after beta freeze is lifted.
