Adding ubuntu-fan was a Canonical specific request (I was the package
maintainer here at the time that was added). If it's no longer relevant
in Ubuntu, it should definitely be removed.
However, pigz should not be downgraded; it's technically optional, but
strongly recommended upstream ("Recommends" is definitely how I would
describe that relation with both my upstream and my Debian hats on).
