Public bug reported: SUMMARY
libxfconf 4.18 incorrectly treats properties of type "empty" as existing. This breaks migration logic in applications such as xfce4-notifyd-config, causing repeated migrations on every startup. See https://gitlab.xfce.org/apps/xfce4-notifyd/-/issues/169#note_116919 for more details. Reproduced on Linux Mint 22.3 (based on Ubuntu Noble), using Ubuntu package xfconf 4.18.1-1build3 $ apt policy libxfconf-0-3 libxfconf-0-3: Installed: 4.18.1-1build3 Candidate: 4.18.1-1build3 Version table: *** 4.18.1-1build3 500 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu noble/universe amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: xfconf (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: SUMMARY libxfconf 4.18 incorrectly treats properties of type "empty" as existing.
