Ubuntu 26.04 (Resolute Raccoon, development branch) experiences repeated hard
system freezes requiring a power button reset. The freezes occur under normal
desktop workload (browser, IDE, email client). Audio continues playing during
the freeze, suggesting the kernel is still partially running but the display
pipeline is deadlocked. The issue persists across kernel versions 7.0.0-10
(based on rc4) and 7.0.0-12.
