Public bug reported:

Broken HDMI Audio output on 7.0.0-12-generic Kubuntu 26.04 beta

Hardware:
CPU/GPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
IGPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G (IGPU is set as primary in BIOS, and display is
connected to motherboard)
DGPU: Nvidia RTX 3090 (Without or with Nvidia drivers had no bearing on this
issue)
Monitor: HP 524sa via HDMI (motherboard port)
Motherboard audio: Realtek ALC892

(After brute forcing all the potential issues this is what I found)

HDMI audio device does detected correctly (ELD valid, monitor_present=1)
PipeWire routes audio to correct sink (RUNNING state)
aplay with plughw shows PCM RUNNING but nothing comes out of the monitor
speakers
ALSA channel map all zeros on card2 device 3:
values=0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0 (should be FL/FR)

dmesg shows this, but I'm not sure if it's relevant or not
  amdgpu: [drm] Failed to setup vendor infoframe on connector HDMI-A-2: -22

The workaround was installing the Liquorix Kernel
