** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: k3b

- There are 2 problems. 1. should not be added to Gnome menu and 2.
- confusion for Gnome users.
-
- Problem 1.
I had installed K3b to my Gnome DE in 7.04 some months ago and upgraded to
Gutsy beta using update manager. Now all the sudden in Gutsy Gnome I have a
new menu called other and it contains 3 kcmshell settings.
Name: Input Actions, command: kcmshell khotkeys
  Name: Keyboard, command: kcmshell keyboard
Name: Keyboard Layout, command: kcmshell keyboard_layout

- Problem 2.
- This is very annoying because I installed K3b to burn optical disc and as
such it seems to me I would have very little interest in the kcmshell command.
K3b does just fine without the kcmshell menu entries. If we absolutely must
keep these menu entries would they not be better off in System/Preferences.
They also offer no clue to the fact that they are part of KDE unless you go and
do research on them. Because there is no obvious KDE connection users will
bitch endlessly about why there not working seamlessly in Gnome or why they are
not in System/Preferences.
+ The menu entries offer no clue to the fact that they are part of KDE
+ unless you go and do research on them. Because there is no obvious KDE
+ connection I think users will be confused and complain about why they
+ are not not working seamlessly in Gnome or why they are not in
+ System/Preferences.
+
+ Update, this is still happening for me. I have a 7.10 installed and not
+ upgrade. January 19, 2008
