Ok, sorry its taken so long to get back to you. I've downloaded the ubuntu-6.06.1-alternate-i386.iso file and burned it to disc. When I boot up with it and select the Install in OEM mode I get a blank white screen with faint colored vertical lines in it, so that doesn't work. If I hit f4 and select the 640x480x16 video setting and then select that OEM mode it works.
