Binary package hint: openoffice.org
When I enable "Visual Effect" under the Appearance control in Ubuntu 7.10, and
I run OpenOffice, the pull-down menus fail to "pull-down": they pull down and
close ommediately. The same happens if I use the Alt-keys to access menus. No
messages on standard output. If OpenOffice is already started when I enable the
"Visual Effetct" the pull-down menus are ok. OpenOffice is the only package
that shows this behaviour on my machine.
Working environment:
- OpenOffice.org 1:2.3.0-1ubuntu5.3, Tue Nov 27 18:52:42 GMT obtained from
distro
- Nautilus 2.20.0 with GNOME
- Ubuntu 7.10, regularly maintained with Update Manager
- Sony VAIO SZ3XP/C with NVIDIA GeForge Go 7400
- driver nvidia-glx-new 100.14.19+2.6.22.4-14.10
