1- Installed CherryTree 1.6.3 from flathub and it is working correctly. 2- Prior to above, tried Cherrytree 1.6.3 from snap it was not opening files - giving error (I have not saved details).
3- It seems CherryTree Giuseppe penone version 1.20+dfsg-1build2 from ubuntu is an old version - needs to be updated or removed.
