Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kaffeine
Edgy, Gnome. Enable sticky keys (a keyboard accessibility feature). Watch a movie with kaffeine. After a few seconds, your shift key becomes "locked". This causes unexpected behavior where the keyboard and mouse seems to react strangely without apparent reason (until you realize that the shift key is locked). I guess the reason for the bug is the following: in order to prevent the screensaver from starting, kaffeine simulates the repeated press of the shift key. But, with sticky keys, pressing the shift key twice locks the shift key. Kaffeine should therefore use another technique to disable the screensaver. The current techique interferes with sticky keys. ** Affects: kaffeine (upstream) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed ** Affects: kaffeine (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed ** Also affects: kaffeine (upstream) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- kaffeine interferes with sticky keys https://launchpad.net/bugs/62299 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
