I have also experienced X lock-ups with the new 8.3 xserver-xorg-core. In a period of 2 hours, I had to reboot 3 times due to these lockups. Since downgrading to xserver-xorg-core_1.3.0.0.dfsg-12ubuntu8_amd64, everything is stable again.
Note that my lock-ups have nothing to do with suspend, but this bug seemed too similar to be a coincidence: - new problem with 8.3 - X locks up - fixed by reverting xserver-xorg-core My specs: Core 2, running 64 bit Gutsy with latest patches, save for xorg-server-core, using "intel" driver -- xserver-xorg-core update breaks suspend in gutsy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/184492 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
