OK. As I wrote above, I've been running xfdesktop4 (4.4.2-2ubuntu1) since Thursday, as per Lionel's request.
There is still a massive memory leak. xfdesktop and xfce4-menu-plugin each still leak memory horribly; xfce4-panel does not (as said in the posts above). It is interesting to note that memory grows (almost perfectly) linearly - with time. I noted down memory usage daily, and could draw a straight line graph (after converting dates to UNIX times...) xfdeskop leaks memory at 35.2MB/day. xfce4-menu-plugin leaks memory at 35.5MB/day. It is also interesting how close those two figures are... My system doesn't swap. The above figures are all for physical RAM, as reported by GNOME System Monitor. -- Memory leak in xfce4-menu-plugin https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/77702 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
