I tested this on a MacBookPro11,2 running Ubuntu 24.04 with the HWE kernel.
Initially, broadcom-sta-dkms 6.30.223.271-23ubuntu1.1 failed to build with the following error: fatal error: typedefs.h: No such file or directory The DKMS build failed for kernel 6.17.0-23-generic. I then manually installed broadcom-sta-dkms 6.30.223.271-23ubuntu1.2. After upgrading to version 23ubuntu1.2, DKMS successfully built and installed the wl module for both: * 6.17.0-23-generic * 6.17.0-35-generic After rebooting, the system booted successfully into kernel 6.17.0-35-generic. Verification results: * dkms status reports the wl module installed for both kernels. * lsmod shows the wl module loaded correctly. * Wi-Fi is working normally. * Internet connectivity was confirmed after disconnecting the wired LAN connection. Environment: * MacBookPro11,2 * Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (Noble) * Kernel 6.17.0-35-generic * broadcom-sta-dkms 6.30.223.271-23ubuntu1.2 Thank you for the fix. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2120508 Title: [SRU] Kernel 6.17 support in broadcom-sta To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/broadcom-sta/+bug/2120508/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
