Hi — thanks for the feedback. Per the maintainer's plan, a visible
deprecation warning is now printed to stderr in commit 37617a02 (byobu
7.6) before delegating to 'apt-get autoremove'. The warning directs
users to 'sudo apt autoremove' as the recommended replacement. Full
removal of the script is planned for a subsequent release. Closing as
Fix Released.
