With 7.0 ubuntu-flavored kernel it is a horror movie: everything
stutters as hell. Situation is much better rolling back to 6.17.
However, running a vanilla (7.0.12-070012-generic) kernel is buttery
smooth. Basically, in the flow of deterioration 7.0.12 (vanilla) ->
6.17.0-XX (ubuntu) -> 7.0.0-XX (ubuntu).

For me the latest 7.0.0-22 is still stuttery as s*. Will stay on
vanilla. In fact, I am genuinely impressed just how smooth vanilla is.
On 6.17 had been for a long while, which is (now I see) just worse
(stuttering is somewhat tolerable/rare there, thus stayed under the
radar).

I am on:
AMD 9900X
NVIDIA 5070 Ti
