Public bug reported:

From what I can tell:

After Mesa was upgraded from 25.1.7 to 25.2.8 on June 19 2026, Vulkan
applications including Steam games crash immediately under a Wayland session
with the following error:
MESA: info: vulkan: No DRI3 support detected - required for presentation

X connection to :0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).
Hardware: AMD Radeon 610M (RADV RAPHAEL_MENDOCINO)

OS: Ubuntu 24.04 Noble

Kernel: 6.17.0-35-generic

Steam installed as Flatpak

Display server: Wayland (GNOME)
Single player games work fine. Only Vulkan-dependent online games are affected.
Switching to an Xorg session works as a workaround.
The upgrade that introduced the regression:

25.1.7-1ubuntu2~24.04.2 → 25.2.8-0ubuntu0.24.04.2
