Public bug reported: Running Ubuntu Gutsy on a Sony Vaio SZ650N with inbuilt WiFi card using iwl4965 driver, all updates applied as of today.
I can associate with non-encrypted AP's fine, and my home router which is WPA-Personal. This happens automatically, which is good. However, work uses WPA-Enterprise routers. I can associate (that's how I'm making this report), but it's a pain, requiring that the kernel driver is removed and restarted. Even that sometimes doesn't work. Further, I always have to enter my password, even though it's stored in the keyring and nm-applet has full access to it. The behaviour I expect is more like what happens with non-encrypted routers: association 'just works' after the first successful login. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Have to rmmod and modprobe kernel driver in order to associate with WPA-Enterprise access point https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/185042 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
