OpenOffice.org-core 1:2.3.0-1ubuntu5.3

1. Select Tools | Mail Merge Wizard | Use current document | Next
2. Select Letter | Next
3. Select Different Address List and Create a new list
4. Upon completion of Step 3 the new list is shown in the Address List table.
5. Select the new list | OK returns you to Insert Address Block box, but all 
options are grayed-out except Select Different Address List. Progress is not 
permitted.

It is not possible to create and then use a new address list.
