There are some variants of existing Pi models entering the pipeline that
have "new" SDRAM chips on board (RPi's attempt to mitigate the effects
of the current RAM price shenanigans). These require that the bootloader
firmware is bumped to support them. This requires updates to rpi-eeprom,
linux-firmware-raspi, and rpiboot (the latter to support flashing these
to the compute modules).
This will also need SRU'ing to all supported releases.
