For fun, I installed the latest stonking image on another SD card. Noticing that the fixed 26.10.2 ubuntu-raspi-settings had come through with the post-install updates, I decided to try regenerating the initrd.img (and hoping for the best).
It worked. The new initrd.img was about 2M larger than the original, which fits with reduced compression. Reboot was successful. Two questions now: One, is there any magic I could do in the resolute install to get the results while waiting for the official resolute update to come through? Two, @waveform: may I ask you to write something brief on the Ubuntu Discourse thread to the effect that we have a solution? That will close out the thread, and I'll give you the official credit for coming up with the solution. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2155094 Title: RPi 3B, Zero 2W, 4B: New boot assets in /boot/firmware/new failed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/2155094/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
