(Subscribing mpt since he had an issue this morning that sounds vaguely similar.)
lcampagn, a few questions? 1. Does this affect only the keyboard, or is the mouse / touchpad affected as well? 2. Do any keys on the keyboard work? Try ctrl-alt-F2, CAPSLOCK, tab, arrow keys, etc. 3. Can you cause X to restart using ctrl-alt-backspace? 4. Which window manager are you using? Compiz? Metacity? KDE? other? An IRQ conflict could indeed produce an effect like this. Can you attach your /proc/interrupts file so we can check if there are duplicate irq's in use? ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High Status: New => Confirmed -- keyboard stops working until logout https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/184078 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
