A quick look and I'm not seeing this.

Qterminal will allow you to change the font to a non-mono type font
which will cause this, that change being a choice made by the user who
makes that choice & selecting in inappropriate font; I wonder if that's
what you're seeing.

Have you made a change to the terminal font?  as the default choice is a
mono font means all characters are EXACTLY THE SAME WIDTH as fonts are
non-proportional or mono(-width-font)  What font is your qterminal set
to use?
