** Description changed: [ Impact ] The default Image Viewer in Ubuntu Desktop fails to save some JPEG images after editing. This is because it was previously being assumed that all JPEG images would use a ycbcr color space, while it turned out that rgb color spaces may also be used. https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glycin/-/work_items/274 [ Test Plan ] 1. Download the attached sample JPEG file 2. Open the image in Image Viewer - 3. Perform some simple editing (for example, cropping) - 4. Verify that you can save the edited image + 3. Enter edit mode + 4. Flip the image horizontally + 5. Verify that you can save the edited image [ Where problems could occur ] Glycin is the image decoding/encoding library used by across GNOME projects. Issues may manifest in any GNOME applications that use gdk-pixbuf or glycin to load/save images.
