There is no display brightness control on my Asus Zenbook UM5606GA. The
screen is stuck at 100% brightness, which is very painful to the eyes
and is a showstopper.
Workaround: sudo apt install gnome-shell-extension-manager -> install
"soft brightness plus". This adds a software alpha layer to the hardware
100%. Note that this workaround is not acceptable for any serious usage
as it gives everything a gray, faded look.
