I'm tried closing duplicates of https://askubuntu.com/q/55868/1004020 .
423+492 upvotes + 829 links/duplicates. The Ubuntu installer shouldn't
inconvenience 400+ people. Note I don't use Broadcom myself.

WiFi is critical in no-Ethernet dorms. Ably installing/updating Ubuntu
packages is more important than not being stuck on the low-resolution
Nvidia screen. Yet frequently users have the wrong Broadcom driver
installed, leaving them with no internet, whereas I frequently see Ask
Ubuntu askers needing broadcom-sta-dkms or another driver looking at the
PCI table in that link.

Please bundle and automate the Broadcom driver configuration at system
install time.
