Public bug reported:
The wireless gaming headset comes with a USB stick. When the stick is
plugged in, Ubuntu will take a lot longer to boot than without the
stick.
With the USB stick:
systemd-analyze time
Startup finished in 13.884s (firmware) + 8.147s (loader) + 874ms (kernel) +
1min 11.799s (initrd) + 10.806s (userspace) = 1min 45.512s
graphical.target reached after 10.806s in userspace.
Without the USB stick:
Startup finished in 12.567s (firmware) + 12.101s (loader) + 907ms (kernel) +
1.447s (initrd) + 10.746s (userspace) = 37.770s
graphical.target reached after 10.745s in userspace.
With or without the USB stick, there is no sound when the system has
booted to the desktop. I have to replugin the USB stick and then I will
be able to hear sound and see the device appear in the sound output
settings in Gnome.
