Public bug reported: I'm seeing this issue with cups 2.4.7-1.2ubuntu7.14 on Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS.
After setting up CUPS to use TLS and enabling the webserver for clients other than localhost I found there's a huge performance issue. CUPS stalls for 10 seconds when using TLS. The bug has already been reported upstream and is supposed to be fixed (I haven't tested). The 10s pause makes administration challenging and printing via IPPS to this server nearly impossible. Can you backport the upstream patch to 24.04 asap? upstream issue#1128 https://github.com/OpenPrinting/cups/issues/1128 upstream commit: cdd7cf4 https://github.com/OpenPrinting/cups/commit/cdd7cf4f55d7e87857315dd70efd751466fd6386 ** Affects: cups (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2160989 Title: remote communications using TLS stall for 10 seconds To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/2160989/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
