Public bug reported:

Calibre version in Ubuntu 25.04 segfaults when opening new Kindle
Signature 32Gb. In order to be detected first i issue the following
command:

pkill -f -STOP gvfs-mtp-volume-monitor

but after opening calibre the app crashes with the following:

Stack trace of thread 19676:
                #0 0x00007c836d2d93c5 LIBMTP_destroy_file_t (libmtp.so.9 +
0x2b3c5)
                #1 0x00007c836d355c98 n/a (libmtp.so + 0x15c98)
                #2 0x00007c836d355e0c n/a (libmtp.so + 0x15e0c)

Then I tried with both calibre in Ubuntu 24.10 (using python 3.13) and latest
calibre version from their webpage, both seems to work ok, it's only the
version present in Ubuntu 25.04 that is crashing.

I can provide full core dump if needed.
