Public bug reported:
Since updating to 26.04, I notice that after launching an app via double
clicking a desktop launcher the mouse icon seems to delay changing from the
waiting icon (a circular spinning symbol) to the pointer icon.
After launching vlc media player to play a video the cursor stays
showing the waiting icon until the mouse gets moved, which then changes
it to show the pointer icon.
After launching the Ubuntu text editor, the cursor icon always shows the
waiting icon and it never changes even if the mouse is moved. This makes
it rather difficult to select text in the editor.
