Some of this was already done as part of

provider/-/commit/4b04c2a7d9dea9ca0c26e845ee4d3fd94ca3c187 and related
commits.

Check if that fixes the problem for you (indeed it has a bug of re-
registering now, but will handle it soon). But hopefully it wouldn't
break other apps
