Problem:
Suspend/resume works reliably with kernel 7.0.0-14-generic.
After upgrading to kernel 7.0.0-28-generic, the system intermittently
resumes to a black screen. The laptop wakes up (power LED on), but the
display remains black and a hard power-off is required.
Observations:
- Kernel 7.0.0-14-generic: suspend/resume works.
- Kernel 7.0.0-28-generic: intermittent black screen after resume.
- Wake-on-LAN is disabled.
- The issue was reproduced on multiple Ubuntu-based distributions (Ubuntu,
Linux Mint and Lubuntu), suggesting it is not desktop-environment specific.
Booting the older kernel (7.0.0-14) resolves the issue.
