Public bug reported:

The theme is not correctly applied.
For instance the desktop icon highlight is blue/purple instead of orange, 
select text is not visible in dark mode in gnome-text-editor.
Changing the accent color back and forth restore the right colors but it gets 
lost again upon logging out and logging back in again.
