Hmm, I don't see evidence of the projector in either log file. Could
you explain how you're doing the connection? E.g., are you plugging it
in after booted up, or connecting and then rebooting? Also, are you
connecting it to the VGA port, or S-Video, or something else?
Please also provide the exact model for the NEC projector, the output
from xrandr both with the projector connected, and without, and attach
your /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
