Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

You've filed this bug against the tool which upgrades a system from one
release (eg. 26.04) to the next release (eg. 26.10), but appear not to
have actually used that tool, so your filed details are not that
helpful. The tool only upgrades packages from release's to the newer
release on disk.

You mention issues with a kernel, thus a report against the kernel
package would have been more useful (as `linux-generic` on 26.04 would
just get replaced by `linux-generic` from 26.10 with no further
involvement) as that appears to be where your issue is.

Whilst I can change the package so it's listed as kernel related; the
added details from your system (due to the package filed against) and
less about to your actual hardware and kernel due to collection of
details of a reported do-release-upgrade type issue.

You maybe better marking this bug report as INVALID,a and filing a bug
report against `linux-generic` or `linux-image-generic-hwe-26.04` (or
whatever kernel package you are using/have installed)

( linux-image-generic-hwe-26.04 is the default kernel package for
Ubuntu Desktop 26.04 LTS )
