Public bug reported: Bug found on new Dell XPS 13 9350 (newest model, 2025) with installed Ubuntu 26.04 LTS.
Any key at any random moment does not appear in text editor until a key is pressed or until up to 5 seconds elapsed. No keys are lost or repeated. Issue occurs with or without the power supply connected. No other applications are running in the background, only the text editor (different editors have been tested as well). The following script has been executed with verbose enabled: https://codeberg.org/Kana/debounce_keyboard and it seems the delay is due to the keypress event (received late) rather than the keyrelease event. Also, the following boot options did not help: `pnpacpi=off atkbd.reset i8042.reset i8042.nomux i8042.nopnp i8042.noaux i8042.noloop` ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2164847 Title: Random key stuck until any key is pressed or timeout To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/2164847/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
